- The recent dissertation of Father John O’Brien, C.P. has been adapted for publication: John J. O’Brien. George G. Higgins and the Quest for Worker Justice: The Evolution of Catholic Social Thought in America. Latham: Sheed and Ward, 2005, 386 pages, $32.95 pb, $80 hc.
- Fr. Rob was part of a five-member panel at the January 2005 meeting of the American Catholic Historical Association, Seattle, Washington. The topic was “Preservation and Publication: Archivists and Historians in Dialogue.”
- Over the past year in order to assist the operation of The Passionist Historical Archives, the Passionist Historical Commission has met several times. Present members are Passionists Gerald Laba-Provincial Council Liaison, Robert Carbonneau-chair, and members: Leo DiFiore, Xavier Hayes, John O’Brien, Larry Rywalt, Jerome Vereb, and Cassian Yuhaus.
- Fr. Rob joined Passionist Fathers Joseph Jones and William Murphy, Br. James Johnson, C.P., John DeGraaf, and Dr. Elliot Casey, M.D. on a site visit to the Passionist ministries in Honduras during the week of January 17-24, 2005.
