Born August 27, 1858, before he entered the Passionists he worked at a biscuit company which made ginger snaps. Professed October 28, 1893, he was a refectorian, engineer and gardener. He suffered from bad eyesight all his life. He was stationed at the Passionist Preparatory Seminary when it was at Mount Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was also assigned to St. Paul, Kansas.
