Born Morgan James Shally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 5, 1877 he entered the Passionist Preparatory School in Dunkirk, New York at a young age. On November 25, 1902 he took his Passionist vows and received the name Clement. His ministry as a Passionist brother included cook, tailor and printer and other responsibilities. Brother Shally died while stationed at Blessed Strambi Retreat in Riverdale, New York of a cerebral hemorrhage.
