Born Daniel Corcoran on February 5, 1860 in Hoboken, New Jersey, he was the son of Jeremiah Corcoran and Bridget Loftus. He professed his Passionist vows on July 22, 1892. He lived in various monasteries as a shoemaker, refectorian, and porter. He died at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland after ten years of heart trouble.
