Born on October 27, 1865 he joined the Passionists when he was twenty-four years old. For a short time he had been a vaudeville performer. He was professed as a Passionist brother on June 2, 1896. Most of his ministry was as a refectorian where the Passionist community ate in common. He died as a result of a lock-jaw infection from a rusty nail while he was on vacation at Shelter Island, New York.
