Born George Kane on May 11, 1895. He professed his Passionist vows on July 26, 1914 and received the name Albinus. He was ordained a priest on January 21, 1923. In his early years he was, for a short time, a teacher in the Passionist Preparatory Seminary. Later he was the first curate at Immaculate Conception Church, Jamaica, New York. Afterwards he was a preacher of parish missions. In his later years Father Kane loved to go into Manhattan and walk the streets . He would say his Rosary, go to an extra Mass at St. Patrick’s and try to have the chance to meet a prelate or high-ranking church official.
