Born October 11, 1898, he professed his vows on September 17, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied at St. Ann’s Monastery, Scranton, Pennsylvania and after three years was transferred to West Hoboken, New Jersey. He was ordained on October 28, 1923 at St. Benedict’s Abbey, Beatty, Pennsylvania. He was a China missionary for twenty-eight years. He was expelled in 1952. From 1956 until 1958 he worked in Jamaica, West Indies. From 1958 until 1962 he was stationed at Pittsburgh. In Baltimore, Maryland, where he spent the last eight years of his life, he was a hospital chaplain at Jenkins Hospital. He also was chaplain for the Patapsco Knights of Columbus.
