Born August 29, 1905 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he professed his vows on August 15, 1924 and was ordained February 8, 1931 as a member of the largest class in St. Paul of the Cross Province. His first four years were spent as a Passionist preacher of missions. Six years followed as director of the retreat house in Brighton, Massachusetts. Ten years after ordination he was elected rector of the Scranton, Pennsylvania monastery. After six years he was back preaching again. In Riverdale, New York he was popular as a confessor and loved to bring retreatants to the wooden chapel on the property to lead them in prayer or bless them with the relic. Others might have seen him as a promoter as well for he always loved to sell raffle chances to raise money for the retreat house. In his later years his health often caused him frustration. He died a member of the Riverdale community.
