Born October 27, 1886 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he professed his vows on June 1, 1914 and was ordained on May 29, 1920. He served as a Provincial of Holy Cross Province from 1935 until 1941 and resided in Chicago, Illinois. He was known for his impact upon the educational seminary system in the Province. He was rector of Passionist monasteries in Normandy, Missouri; Des Moines, Iowa; Sierra Madre, California; Louisville, Kentucky. He retired to Daneo Hall, Chicago and died at nearby Resurrection Hospital.
