Born August 14, 1912 in Chicago, Illinois, he professed his vows on July 30, 1931 and was ordained on June 3, 1939. He was assigned as a professor at the Passionist seminary, Normandy, Missouri. In 1947 he went to Holy Cross Monastery, Cincinnati, Ohio where he founded the retreat movement. After that he was a full-time preacher and retreat master. When he died of a heart attack he was member of the Sierra Madre, California community.
