Born January 26, 1898 in Dubuque, Iowa and learned of the Passionists when he was a boy. They came to preach at his parish. He professed his vows on August 16, 1914. He was ordained on August 14, 1921. He preached parish missions, earned a degree at The Catholic University of America, taught Passionist students, was Rector at St. Paul, Kansas and St. Gabriel’s Monastery, Des Moines, Iowa before he became Provincial Consultor from 1941-1944. He was also in Birmingham, Alabama and pastor at St. Paul, Kansas. He was building superintendent at the Passionist Seminary in Warrenton, Missouri. Later he lived at Daneo Hall, Chicago.
