Born March 16, 1891 his father died when he was young and he was educated at St. Mary’s Industrial School, Baltimore, Maryland where he was a classmate of baseball legend Babe Ruth. Because the Passionists were chaplains at the school Feeley became interested in religious life. He entered the novitiate and was professed on February 28, 1910. On May 16, 1918 he was ordained. He was director of students; assistant to Father Silvan Latour who was mission procurator at The Sign. He was vicar, served as superior of the residence in Riverdale, New York and secretary in the provincial office for missions and retreats. In 1955 his age required that he be assigned to West Hartford, Connecticut where he helped organize the Altare Dei Society mass donations and assisted the assistant superior in the capacity as econome.
