Born June 3, 1912 in Dunmore, Pennsylvania he was the son of John Walsh and Sarah Higgins Walsh. He graduated from Dunmore High School in 1929. He professed his vows on August 15, 1932 in West Springfield, Massachusetts and was ordained on April 28, 1939 at St. Mary’s Monastery Church, Dunkirk, New York by Bishop John A. Duffy of Buffalo, New York. For many years he was a preacher of missions and retreats. Other assignments included, immediately after ordination being associate pastor in Baltimore, Maryland, vice-rector in West Springfield., rector of Brighton, Massachusetts and pastor of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, Atlanta, Georgia. While there he was a member of St. Martin’s Human Relations Council, the Council of Christians and Jews, served on the board of the Georgia Council of Human Relations and the Atlanta Mayor’s Committee on Racial Justice. The last years of his life were spent at North Palm Beach, Florida.
