Born October 3, 1878 in New York, he was educated at St. Francis College. He professed his vows October 4, 1906 and was made a member of Holy Cross Province because it was felt that the climate would be better for his health. He was ordained on June 22, 1911. From 1911 until 1957 he was a familiar fixture at the monastery of St. Paul, Kansas where he continually helped out in parishes and hospitals. In April 1957 he came to Louisville at Our Lady of Peace Hospital after which he became a member of the Louisville, Kentucky community. For many years he required a hearing aid and for the last five years had problems with cataracts. In July 1962 he was readmitted to Our Lady of Peace Hospital and in December 1963 was transferred to St. Joseph Hill Infirmary, Eureka, Missouri where he died.
