Born April 29, 1898 in Springfield, Illinois, he was the son of John D. and Clara Bradley McConnell. In March 1916 he entered the Passionist Preparatory Seminary, Cincinnati, Ohio. He professed his vows on April 1, 1918 and was ordained at St. Paul, Kansas on February 1, 1925. One of his primary apostolates was a preacher of parish missions and renewals. In 1966 he was appointed hospital chaplain in Halstead, Kansas and then later was hospital chaplain at St. Vincent’s Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, Illinois. He died at Resurrection Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.
