Born July 17, 1906 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, he attended the Friar Preachers Prep School at Columbus, Ohio but eventually decided to attend the Passionist Preparatory Seminary at Dunkirk, New York for one year. He then entered the novitiate and professed his vows on August 15, 1927 and was ordained on June 15, 1933 by Archbishop Curley of Baltimore, Maryland. After a year of sacred eloquence under the direction of Father Stanislaus Grennan, C.P. he was assigned to Jamaica, New York. He died suddenly to the great surprise and sadness of the community at Jamaica. Two weeks before he death he had become paralyzed.
