Born on August 27, 1835, Father Baudinelli professed his Passionist vows at Monte Argentaro, Italy, where St. Paul of the Cross had lived, on September 16, 1851. He was a member of the Passionist province of the Presentation in Italy. He was ordained to the priesthood on April 3, 1858. Soon after ordination, Father Anthony Testa, C.P., Superior General of the Passionists sent Father Baudinelli to the United States. He arrived in Boston, Massachusetts on August 15, 1858. For most of his priestly ministry he preached in the United States. He served as a Rector six times, once he was Provincial Consultor, twice he was Provincial from 1893 to 1896 and 1896 to 1899. From May 1899 to May 1905 Father Baudinelli served as a General Consultor in Rome. He died at St. Mary’s Monastery, Dunkirk, New York.
