Born June 15, 1927, he professed his vows on August 15, 1948. He was ordained on April 28, 1954. He served the province as a Director of Students. He was a Vocation Director. He was retreat director at St. Gabriel’s Retreat House, Shelter Island, New York. After seven years at Shelter Island he became retreat director at Cardinal Spellman Retreat, Riverdale, New York. Next he was Rector at Our Mother of Sorrows Retreat, West Springfield, Massachusetts. There he had bypass surgery. Then he returned to Riverdale and began preaching missions and retreats. He frequently arrived late for conferences when he had to preach. Eventually he suffered a stoke and was assigned to West Hartford, Connecticut. He also suffered from diabetes.
