Born June 28, 1901 he went to elementary school at St. John’s and high school at St. Peter’s Prep from 1918 to 1920 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He then attended the Passionist Preparatory Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland. He professed his vows on November 9, 1923. He was ordained on March 15, 1930. From 1932 to 1942 he was an assistant parish priest at St. Mary’s, Dunkirk, New York. From 1945 to 1951 he was Chaplain at Runnels Hospital which had been known as Bonnie Burn. From 1951 to 1959 he was chaplain Vista Maria Crangsmoor, New York.
