Born June 3, 1871 in Monroe, Michigan, he was the son of Jerome and Sarah Kendrick. His brother Father Stephen Kendrick, C.P. was also a member of the Passionists. The future Father Lambert Kendrick received his early education at the Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduation he entered the Passionist novitiate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and professed his vows on September 13, 1893. He was ordained on May 16, 1902. He was a rector and also a preacher of parish missions. His death, while premature was not sudden since at Easter time 1920, he had a gall bladder attack.
