Born June 25, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri, he received his elementary education at Nativity School. He entered the Passionist Preparatory Seminary in Normandy, Missouri in 1936. He professed his Passionist vows at St. Paul, Kansas on August 1, 1943. Studies then took place at monasteries in Detroit, Michigan, Chicago, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky, He was ordained on June 3, 1950 and then had a year of sacred eloquence at Sierra Madre, California. Father Aubuchon was first assigned to Des Moines, Iowa to preach parish missions. In August 1953 he was appointed pastor of St. Francis Jerome Church, St. Paul, Kansas. From May 1957 until June 1969 he was assistant pastor at St. Gemma’s Parish, Detroit, Michigan. He then served as assistant superior at Immaculate Conception Monastery, Chicago and then was appointed pastor of Immaculata Church on August 24, 1971.
