Born April 16, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he professed his Passionist vows on July 9, 1944 and was ordained in Louisville, Kentucky on May 19, 1951. He received his Ph.D. from the Dominican Institute in Chicago, Illinois and was professor of philosophy at the Passionist Fathers Seminary in Chicago until 1965 when he was transferred to Louisville and became Dean of Studies at the Passionist Seminary there and professor at Bellarmine College. Father Glutz was a member of American Catholic Philosophical Association and published articles in Catholic publications. His death was a shock to the province. He died of a heart attack while in the hospital for a routine check up.
