Born October 7, 1931; professed July 16, 1955; ordained May 4, 1962. He was a military chaplain in the United States Army from 1965 until 1982. He saw action in Vietnam with the 26th Infantry and was awarded the Silver Star for “unquestionable valor.” He also served in Germany and Hawaii. He was a Lieutenant Colonel. In 1982 he was diagnosed with cancer. He died in West Hartford, Connecticut. Other commendations included the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Emblem, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.
