Born October 3, 1916. He professed his vows on August 15, 1938. He was ordained on May 5, 1945. Father Mulgrew attended St. John’s Parochial School and South Catholic High in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He attended Holy Cross Seminary in Dunkirk, New York and St. Michael’s Seminary, Schools for Army Chaplains in Cambridge, Massachusetts and New York, New York. Father Mulgrew attended Marywood College School for Social Sciences, Scranton and Johns Hopkins University School for Social Studies, Baltimore, Maryland.
Father Mulgrew was on the Passionist Mission Preaching Band, an Assistant Parish priest, St. Ann’s Parish, Scranton, and Chaplain in the United States Army at Fort Benning, Fort Jackson, Korea, and Germany. He was a Counselor on Alcoholism, State Addiction Clinic, Naticoke, Pennsylvania and Consultant on Alcoholic Addiction, Eastern Clergy Conference on Addictions.
