Born July 6, 1910, he professed his vows on August 15, 1929 and was ordained on May 30, 1936. He was a seminary professor from 1937 until 1938, pursued graduate studies at The Catholic University of America from 1938 until 1940 and then was professor of physics at Holy Cross Seminary, Dunkirk, New York from 1940 until 1953. He was vice-rector at Holy Cross from 1944 until 1953 and rector of St. Mary’s, Dunkirk from 1953 until 1956. He held the same position at St. Ann’s, Scranton from 1956 until 1959. From 1959 until 1965 he was provincial consultor; from 1965 until 1970 he was secretary to the provincial and from 1968 until 1970 he was treasurer for the province.
