Fund-raising costs money to make money!

Gather people around a cup of coffee or a beer and memories can come alive. However, sometimes the good old days fail to take into account the reality of inflation. For example, the Sunday afternoon, February 6, 1972 Oyster Roast sponsored by the Monastery Stage Crew of St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish in Baltimore, Maryland asked for a donation of $6.50.

On Sunday afternoon, March 4, 2007, the Bull and Oyster Roast sponsored by St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish asks for a donation of $35.00. We must remember that while times and costs change, the needs don’t.
