Passionist History Video Lecture by Rob Carbonneau, C.P., Ph.D.
“The passion of Jesus is a sea of sorrows but it is also an ocean of love.” Passionist founder St. Paul of Cross (1694-1775) was this meditative phrase. International representatives of the Passionists gathered in Rome from October 6 -27, 2024. Addressed was how some 1,776 priests, Brothers [2024] , and many laymen and women, in 57 countries reinvigorate their diversified ministries, life in common and elect a Superior General for the next six years. Join with Passionist historian, Father Rob Carbonneau, as he reflects on the changing dynamics of history that have impacted Passionist General Chapters since 1900.
