This entire issue of the Passionist Heritage Newsletter pays attention to the theme of Passionists and Fund-Raising. History reminds us that people have always been generous in good times and bad. Today, benefactors continue to donate in a variety of ways. With thanks, they should know that they are participants in the over 150 year legacy of the Passionists in the United States to carry on the Gospel-based message of Passionist founder St. Paul of the Cross.
The Passionist Directory of 2007 shows that there are at least 20 Passionist-related ministry sites in existence today. Among them are several traditional monasteries and Passionist-sponsored parish and retreat ministries on the east coast. Passionist Missionaries, Inc. now includes overseas ministries and volunteer programs in different countries. Additional Passionist entities exist to promote Passionist educational outreach to the public through traditional means of preaching and modern electronic media. -Editor
